The sound for this animaton will involve sound effects to match the actions taken, for example the door opening in the brain room will have sound, the forest will have sound, and the blob of vulnerability will express emotion through sound as well when it moves. This film will also include music to set the mood and tone of the film, I have not as yet found the right music, but as the soundscape is crucial to set the tone of the film I am searching for the right piece. The music will have a dreamlike quality, but not overly happy or childlike. Additionally there will be the monologue which I read over top, this will be read at a slow pace to allow the animation to happen in between - as such I intend to record the monologue towards the end so I can more easily time the pacing of it. I aim to create a very layered and developed soundscape.
the soundscape from 2:07 in this clip of Svankmajer's feature film about Alice in Wonderland has a soft but provocative soundtrack with lots of character sound effects. This dream-like music is something I hope to incorporate into my film.
